Lightning Morning News: Connor McDavid suspended

Related Topics: Connor McDavid, Evan Bouchard

In the never-ending session of play stupid games, win stupid prizes, Connor McDavid and Tyler Myers were both suspended for three games for their actions in Saturday night’s game. McDavid was disciplined for “intentionally strik[ing] Garland in the head with force”. The Department of Player Safety also noted McDavid’s history (which includes a fine and a priors suspension) in assessing the three-game punishment.

Mere seconds after the Connor-vs-Conor incident, Tyler Myers drilled Evan Bouchard in the face with his stick “that makes direct contact with an opponent’s head with sufficent force to merit supplemental discipline”.
