OTTAWA — The Senators entered Saturday still basking in their remarkable comeback the night before, when they overcame a three-goal, third-period deficit to beat the Sharks in overtime.
"They say it’s probably one of the worst leads in hockey, leading by three goals," center Derick Brassard said, smiling. "Your mind-set changes. You just want to tuck it in and go home."
The Lightning could have tucked it in after falling behind three goals in the first period Saturday. But it nearly ended up flipping the switch on Ottawa, pulling off a Senators-like rally to tie it at 3 before falling 6-3 at the Canadian Tire Center.
