Lightning fall to Washington 5-2 in prospect tournament

Tampa Bay dropped the second game of a four-team prospect tournament, losing 5-2 to Washington at Germain Arena in Estero.

Matthew Peca and Cristiano DiGiacinto each had a goal and an assist for the Lightning, which fell to 1-1 in the tournament.

Adam Wilcox played the full game in net, stopping 27 of 31 shots faced.

Washington led 1-0 after the first period and broke the game open with a pair of goals in the second period, out-shooting Tampa Bay 13-4. The Lightning would make it close with pair of power play goals in the final two minutes of the third.
