The Tampa Bay Lightning were down 2-0 in the second period to the Montreal Canadiens before staging a comeback with goals eight minutes apart from Brayden Point and Anthony Cirelli. Down again in the third period, a shorthanded goal by Tyler Motte tied it up and then after six rounds of a shootout, Victor Hedman scored to earn the bonus point, and the Bolts had the 4-3 victory.
With the win and a loss by the Detroit Red Wings, the Lightning move even with them at 72 points. They are six points clear of the next team, the New York Islanders.
