The Tampa Bay Lightning have assigned forward Brayden Point to the Moose Jaw Warriors of the Western Hockey League, vice president and general manager Steve Yzerman announced today.
Point, 19, has skated in 204 career WHL games, all with the Warriors over the past four seasons, posting 99 goals and 236 points. The 5-foot-9, 178 pound forward ranked tied for eighth in the WHL for points with 87 during the 2014-15 season. He also led all Moose Jaw skaters for goals and points last season. Point skated in seven games for Team Canada at the 2015 World Junior Championships, recording two goals and four points while helping Canada win the Gold Medal.
