Girls will get a chance to lace up their skates and take to the ice with a pair of athletes from the National Women’s Hockey League next month in Tampa Bay.
Taylor Accursi and Mallory Souliotis, professional ice hockey players in the NWHL, will coach a pair of clinics for girls on Aug. 16. The clinics, sponsored by the Lightning and the NWHL, will be held at the Brandon Ice Sports Forum.
The clinics continue a strong relationship between women’s hockey and the Tampa Bay area. The American women’s hockey team trained for the 2018 Olympics at the Florida Hospital Center Ice in Wesley Chapel.
