The friendship between Lightning head coach Jon Cooper and Chicago Cubs manager Joe Maddon has been pretty well-documented. Madden is no stranger to the Tampa Bay market, of course, having been the manager for the Rays for nine years (2006-2014), and in that time has gotten to know not only Cooper but Lightning players as well.
So it’s no surprise that after the Cubs finally won their first World Series title in 108 years, Cooper fired off a tweet.
