The NHL is expanding its rulebook for the second consecutive season.
Sometime this past June in between recovering from the Lightning's deep playoff run and gearing up for prospect camp, the NHL's Board of Governors approved three new rules for the 2015-16 season. While last season saw the addition of 10 new rules, these new three are likely to have the largest effect on the game since the aftermath of the 2004-05 lockout. So much more that the NHL is strictly enforcing one of them during the preseason to get teams adjusted.
