In the closest battle the team has played in so far this season, the Lightning was unable to pull ahead with a clean break despite taking the lead three separate times.
After ending its homestand on a high note this past weekend, the Tampa Bay Lightning relapsed but was still able to gain a point in the process. The Bolts fell to the Nashville Predators 5-4 Tuesday night in a shootout at Bridgestone Arena.
The game was both the Lightning's first shootout of the season and overtime loss and essentially was a carbon copy of last season’s contest in Nashville this past February (a 3-2 overtime loss).
