Goalie Louis Domingue made a slight change to his mask. The lightning bolt atop his mask is purple for Hockey Fights Cancer month instead of the blue it usually is. Domingue sported the new look in practice, but it saw its first game action as he started Sunday.

Sunday was both the Senators' and Lightning's 2,000th game in franchise history. Both entered the NHL in 1992 and hit the milestone together despite having different playoff-appearance histories (notably, Tampa Bay has been to two Cup finals, Ottawa one).
