TAMPA BAY – The Tampa Bay Lightning honored Cole Eicher as the 15th Lightning Community Hero of the 2015-16 season during the first period of tonight’s game versus the Ottawa Senators. Eicher, who received a $50,000 donation from the Lightning Foundation and the Lightning Community Heroes program, will donate the money to the American Cancer Society, All Children’s Hospital, Pediatric Cancer Foundation, Because of Ezra Foundation, Grace Lutheran School and the Civil Air Patrol St. Pete Chapter.
Eicher was diagnosed with brain cancer at the age of 12 but his resilience through tough times truly defined his spirit.
