Channelside Drive, in front of Amalie Arena in downtown Tampa, will be closed until the end of September while crews complete various projects as part of the city’s redevelopment efforts.
The city of Tampa will be installing new water and stormwater pipes, as well as new conduits for Tampa Electric, Bright House and Verizon as part of improvements to the Channel District, the city said in a news release.
Channelside Drive, between Jefferson Street and Old Water Street, will be closed to motorists, according to the news release, while pedestrians still will be able to access the roadway along the south side of Channelside Drive, between Morgan Street and Old Water Street.
