Tampa Bay Lightning
NEW YORK — Some languages prove universal.
Music. Mathematics.
No commonality of words are required to communicate.
Apparently, under the right circumstances, hockey falls under the same category.
Because the only way to explain how well the Lightning line of Tyler Johnson, Ondrej Palat and Nikita Kucherov communicates on the ice is otherworldly.
Using seemingly telepathic powers, they know each other’s on-ice personalities so well, no words are needed.
“They are the same kind of player as me, so the more you play with them, the more you watch them and see where they are going,’’ Kucherov said.
