CALGARY, Alberta — Just as the Lightning are starting to get back to full health, there was a brief scare during Tuesday’s morning skate.
During one drill, Tampa Bay LW Vladislav Namestnikov inadvertently bowled over G Andrei Vasilevskiy and both players went to the ice. Namestnikov got up quickly, but Vasilevskiy, whose mask was knocked off, stayed down for a few moments.
Vasilevskiy finally got up and was stretching out his jaw. He eventually made his way to the Lightning bench, where medical trainer Tom Mulligan squirted water to help clean out some of the blood in Vasilevskiy’s mouth.
