Tampa Bay Lightning
MONTREAL — Steven Stamkos is back in the media spotlight, and not for his goal scoring.
The Tampa Bay Lightning’s captain ended a eight-game goal drought during Game 2 and carries a three-game scoring streak into Game 5 of the Bolts’ NHL playoff series tonight at Montreal.
But after being held without a shot on goal in Games 3 and 4 in Tampa — he was only held without a shot on goal once during the regular season — questions about his productivity once again surfaced.
“It’s a tough game out there, and obviously I would like to get some more opportunities, you have to put yourself into position,’’ Stamkos said.
