TAMPA — The Lightning enjoyed a good trip through California.
It could have been great.
After winning the first two games in Anaheim and San Jose, Tampa Bay ended on a sour note in a 3-1 loss to Los Angeles late Sunday night. When the entire week is taken in to account, winning four of six points has to be considered a success, but the ending left a bitter taste.
“What makes it a little tough is we had the opportunity to take six of six,’’ Lightning head coach Jon Cooper said. “We only got four of six, but you sit back and say you go on a long trip like this out west and you win two games, you have to be pleased with that.
