Bolts notes: Players channeling 'killer instinct' to close out Canadiens

TAMPA — Despite a thrilling finish to Game 3, the Lightning know Game 4 must play out differently.

While talking about trying to develop a killer instinct to their game, Tampa Bay failed to show that for good portions of Wednesday’s game, with only the final few minutes leading to C Tyler Johnson scoring the winning goal with 1.1 seconds remaining in regulation to give Tampa Bay a 3-0 series lead, with Game 4 set for tonight at Amalie Arena.

“Our killer instinct needs to be really high tonight,’’ D Jason Garrison said. “This is the toughest game, the closing out game.
