Kronwall didn’t agree with the decision, Red Wings head coach Mike Babcock declined to discuss it while the Lightning refused to let it affect them.
Kronwall was given a one-game suspension on Tuesday for charging into Lightning RW Nikita Kucherov and leading with the elbow into the chin of Kucherov. Though no penalty was called on the play, it was reviewed by the NHL Department of Player Safety, which handed out the suspension.
“Obviously not one of the best moments in my life, but there is not much I can do, really,’’ Kronwall said.
