TAMPA - Tampa Bay Lightning G Ben Bishop last started a game on Jan. 23 in Florida, and didn’t make it past the second period of a lop-sided loss.
As Bishop returns to the net tonight against Detroit for his first action in 12 days, he said rust is not much of a concern.
“To get back to game mode it might be a bit of a feeling out process, but for me not much is going to change,’’ Bishop said. “I’ve been doing this long enough.’’
But Bishop, at least, was able to see some action at last weekend’s All-Star game when he played a total of 20 minutes in the three-on-three tournament, though it was a completely different situation.
