Bolts Notes: Another Crunch player gets chance in spotlight

TAMPA -- The Lightning’s pipeline to Syracuse is operating at full capacity.

The latest youngster recalled from Tampa Bay’s AHL affiliate is Joel Vermin, a 23-year-old winger who was selected in the seventh round of the 2013 Entry Draft.

In Monday night’s 1-0 loss at Florida, Crunch players Jonathan Marchessault, Mike Blunden and Matt Taormina skated for the Lightning.

“Vermin can skate, he’s got some skill and he’s earned the right,’’ said Lightning coach Jon Cooper. “I liked him in training camp and this is another step in his career. Anytime you play in the NHL, it’s a privilege.
