Bolts match franchise-best eight-game winning streak, knock off Ottawa 4-1

OTTAWA - Make it eight.

The Tampa Bay Lightning tied a franchise record with their eighth consecutive victory, knocking off Ottawa 4-1 on Thursday at Canadian Tire Centre.

Cedric Paquette, Nikita Kucherov and Ondrej Palat each scored for Tampa Bay while Ben Bishop finished with 33 saves to improve to 9-0-3 all-time against his former team. Steven Stamkos scored his 29th goal in to an empty net with 13.3 seconds left.

The eight consecutive victories matches the record set by Tampa Bay from Feb. 23-March 6, 2004, the year Tampa Bay won the Stanley Cup. The Lightning will try to set a new franchise record on Saturday at home against Carolina.
