Bolts' final roadblocks: Lundqvist, N.Y.'s history of Game 7 successes

NEW YORK — How many lessons must be taught before the study guide can be put aside?

The Lightning might be set to answer that question as they head into a situation tonight in which many expect them to fail — Game 7 of the Eastern Conference finals at Madison Square Garden, where the New York Rangers are 7-0 all-time in Game 7’s.

New York has also won six consecutive Game 7’s with goaltender Henrik Lundqvist, who has a 0.97 goals-against average during the run by allowing no more than one goal in each contest.

“I guess you look back and it’s an impressive feat to see what they’ve done,” Lightning head coach Jon Cooper said.
