Bolts C Tyler Johnson's wrist not quite 100 percent

BRANDON — Tyler Johnson had two new experiences this summer: his first live Seattle Seahawks football game and extensive time in the gym.

Johnson, who returns home to Spokane, Wash., for offseason training, made the trek from eastern Washington to Seattle to watch th Seahawks’ preseason opener against Denver on Aug. 14, the first time he’d seen the team play in person.

The trip was a welcome respite from all the time Johnson put in at the gym while recovering from a fractured wrist suffered during the Stanley Cup Final against Chicago.

“I spent more time in the gym than I ever have before,” Johnson said Wednesday following an informal skate with more than a dozen Tampa Bay teammates at Ice Sports Forum.
