The Wings went 1-3 during the last week, dropping games in Elmira and Manchester before beating Quad City in a shootout on Wednesday. The win against the Mallards was their 7th victory away from the Wings Event Center. They've played a league-high 16 games on the road.
On Friday a seemingly innocent 2-2 game after two periods exploded in the third. The teams combined for seven goals in the final frame, unfortunately for the Wings they only scored twice.
