After eight months of numerous wins, improbable comebacks, and battling through injuries, the Lightning's season comes to a close.
When the Tampa Bay Lightning were 11th in the Eastern Conference standings on New Year's Day, there was some uncertainty about how long the team's season would last into the spring. Although being outplayed by the Pittsburgh Penguins at CONSOL Energy Center on Thursday night, the Lightning still have plenty to be proud about being one of the four teams who remained standing in the 2015-16 NHL season.
"It's maybe not so much of a game of skill," said Anton Stralman about his mindset going into Thursday night.
