One of Jameis Winston's attorneys is threatening legal action against CNN if it airs The Hunting Ground, a documentary about campus rape.
Attorneys for the Bucs' rookie quarterback questioned the film's "complete disregard for journalistic standards" in an email sent to CNN, which is scheduled to air the documentary at 8 p.m. Sunday. Attorney John A. Boudet pointed to correspondence between one of the film's producers and Patricia Carroll, an attorney who was representing Zephyrhills' Erica Kinsman, who accused Winston of rape while both were at Florida State.
The documentary's producer wrote that the film, which has been shown in theaters, is "in the corner of advocacy for victims" rather than impartial.
