Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota had solid games as they remained among the top performers among rookie quarterbacks drafted since 1980.
When Winston and Mariota went 1-2 in the NFL draft, the Tampa Bay Times created a database of all first-round quarterbacks drafted since 1980. As of midseason we began to screen out those with fewer than 50 pass attempts to account for playing time.
Mariota remains near the top of the list with a quarterback ranking of 98.7, just behind Dan Marino and Ben Roethlisberger at the same point in their careers.
Winston is a few ticks below with his rating of 80.
