Each week, fans will have an opportunity to vote for one high school football coach in Hillsborough county as the Buccaneers’ Coach of the Week. Candidates will have led their schools to an impressive victory and demonstrated a commitment to fundamentals, player safety, sportsmanship, academic development, and community engagement.
After all of the fan votes have been collected, Jesuit’s Matt Thomson has been selected as the Buccaneers’ High School Coach of the Week for Week 2. Jesuit picked up a 38-0 victory over Ocala Trinity Catholic this past weekend, recording their second shutout in three games. Thompson’s team was short-handed, as well, with their starting running back sidelined.
