TAMPA, Fla. -- Austin Seferian-Jenkins is humbled to receive praise from Tony Gonzalez. Still, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end wants to return to the field as soon as possible to be known for production instead of potential.
Gonzalez called Seferian-Jenkins “my No. 1 young guy” in a Sporting News article published Monday. Gonzalez, the 14-time Pro Bowler added, “He’s working with a quarterback that is still learning his way, but I think the sky is the limit."
“I’m very thankful that he said that about me,” said Seferian-Jenkins, who has missed the Bucs’ past six games with a shoulder injury.
