TAMPA — Todd Bowles may have had the loudest voice when it came to wanting Ndamukong Suh. He wanted him last year as head coach of the Jets. Those talks flowered a year later for the Bucs when the five-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle became available again as a free agent.
“We talked a year ago. Very interested in him at the time,'' Bowles said of Suh, who chose the Rams over the Jets. "It didn’t work out, obviously, but we developed a good rapport, talking on the phone and understanding each other, what I was looking for, what he was looking for.
