Tim Jennings visiting Buccaneers

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are hosting cornerback Tim Jennings for a visit today, according to Adam Schefter. Jennings was released by the Chicago Bears yesterday after playing for them for five seasons, including three under Lovie Smith. Jennings originally entered the NFL as a second-round draft pick for the Indianapolis Colts in 2006.

Jennings used to be one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL, racking up nine interceptions and being named an All-Pro as recently as 2012, but at 31 his play has declined rapidly. Jennings was largely ineffective last year, and was demoted from starter to backup to being cut after poor performances this preseason.
