ST. LOUIS — If you believe the television ratings, NFL fans can’t seem to get enough of “Thursday Night Football” games such as the matchup between the Buccaneers and Rams that kicked off Week 15.
The same cannot be said of NFL players and coaches.
With little time to recover from injuries, practice or prepare game plans, players and coaches alike view Thursday games as something of an occupational hazard.
That’s not going to take them off the schedule.
Rams coach Jeff Fisher has spent 12 years on the league’s competition committee. He’s not a fan of Thursday night games, either, but that’s not going to put them on the endangered-species list.
