As the Tampa Tribune reported this morning, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tampa Sports Authority have reached an agreement on a $100 million stadium upgrade package that includes new video boards, replacing the small, decades-old ones with shiny new screens, and adding more of them in the corners as well as a state-of-the-art sound system. All of that should be ready for the 2017 college football national championship.
"The proposed improvements would be a huge win for our community, as fans will be provided an enhanced event experience and Tampa will be uniquely positioned to host future world class events at Raymond James Stadium," said Tampa Sports Authority President/CEO Eric Hart.
