The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced they have signed offensive tackle Jerry Ugokwe and waived defensive lineman Channing Ward on the eve of training camp.
The move isn’t a big shock by any means as the Buccaneers needed to find a way to add to the depth of the offensive line, especially after cutting J.R. Sweezy earlier in the off-season. Ward, unfortunately, was now part of a very deep - and stacked - position group as Jason Licht spent most of the off-season beefing up one of the league’s worst defensive lines of 2017.
