On Thursday, the Miami Dolphins announced that they had released two veterans, one of which was interior offensive lineman Ted Larsen, a nine-year veteran who started his career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2010.
Playing his first four years in the NFL in Tampa Bay after being drafted by the New England Patriots and later plucked off of their practice squad by the Bucs, Larsen has familiarity with the Tampa Bay community, and the Bucs have a desperate need for someone to fill the void at right guard.
The city of Tampa Bay is not the only familiarity that Larsen has with the Buccaneers, but has also played under new head coach Bruce Arians in Arizona for the 2014 and 2015 seasons where he started 26 games in that stretch.
