On day-one of the draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers used their fifth pick in the draft on linebacker Devin White. Continuing to overhaul their defense, it sounds like Tampa Bay is prepared to take their third cornerback in the second round in three years.
Today, Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians made a rather peculiar comment when discussing Tampa Bay’s day two plans:
“In our division, we’ve got a couple of big receivers we’ve got to handle. Hopefully we can fix that soon.” (via Greg Auman)
Even after drafting M.J. Stewart, who is moving to safety, and Carlton Davis in the second round just one year ago, it would appear the Buccaneers are looking for another cornerback early on day-two.
