The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have selected their first defensive tackle in the 2019 NFL Draft in the seventh round. Missouri’s Terry Beckner is now on his way to Tampa Bay as the Buccaneers have used their last draft pick on him.
A four year player for the Tigers, Beckner has tallied a career total of 13.5 sacks and 32 tackles for loss. His best season coming in 2017, Beckner recorded 11 tackles behind the line of scrimmage and seven sacks; last year he sacked opposing quarterbacks three and a half times and tallied 11 tackles for loss.
Beckner tested extremely poor athletically at the combine, did not seek to improve those numbers at his pro day.
