With the 39th pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers selected Central Michigan cornerback Sean Bunting. Taking a cornerback in the second round for the second year in a row, the Buccaneers get another upgrade to their secondary after adding a safety in free agency.
Throughout his three years as a starting cornerback for the Chippewas, Bunting recorded a total of nine interceptions, including five in 2017. Additionally he has knocked away 15 passing attempts from opposing receivers. Bunting saw his stock shoot up at the combine, where he tested well.
In Indianapolis, Bunting measured in at 6’0 and 195 pounds, posting 14 reps on his bench press.
