Chris Simms, former quarterback of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and now of Pro Football Talk, is going through a series of ranking the top 40 quarterbacks currently in the NFL. Jameis Winston comes in on his list as the 27th best quarterback, behind the likes of Nick Foles, Dak Prescott, Mitch Trubisky, and Josh Allen.
While Winston has struggled over the past two seasons, ranking him this low seems a bit harsh, especially considering the extraordinary passing numbers he posts. Yes, Winston throws a ton of interceptions, but also throws for thousands of yards and a good deal of touchdowns.
