Two years ago the Tampa Bay Buccaneers made safety Justin Evans their second round selection out of Texas A&M. After he put together a solid rookie campaign for the pewter and red, Evans took a step back in year-two in 2018, a year that ultimately ended in a season ending foot injury.
Fast forward to today, and Evans has yet to practice with the Buccaneers through more than a week of camp. Not only is Evans missing valuable time on the field in practice, but he is missing opportunities to prove himself to a new defensive coordinator that rookie Mike Edwards is taking advantage of.
