After signing leading rusher from 2018 to a one-year deal on Wednesday, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers look primed to run it back with Barber and last year’s second round pick Ronald Jones. However, given the tender that Barber was extended, and the value of the deal he signed, one could infer that he may not be a fit for Bruce Arians’ offense and is not viewed as a rock solid piece to that side of the ball moving forward.
Arians prefers to run a big play, down the field type of offense, utilizing big bodied receivers over the top and mismatches underneath.
