Around 2:00pm EST today, it was announced that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers had signed pass rusher Shaquil Barrett to a one-year deal to bolster their front seven defensively. The deal is worth $4 million as the base salary, with an extra million dollars in incentives.
The Buccaneers continue to stretch a dollar as far as they can as they continue to sign quality players at a bargain price to improve their roster. Barrett has spent the entirety of his career to this point with the Denver Broncos before vowing to seek out more than just a rotational role at his next destination.
