Yesterday, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers released defensive tackle Mitch Unrein and cleared $3.75 million in cap space. While Unrein’s release was with a failed physical designation, his release is most likely not the last move the Buccaneers will make to clear even more spending flexibility.
The Bucs have also officially traded wide receiver DeSean Jackson and a 2020 seventh round pick to the Philadelphia Eagles for a sixth round pick in the upcoming draft; this trade got rid of a disgruntled receiver as well as cleared up $10 million in cap space.
