Tampa Bay Buccaneers left tackle Tristan Wirfs did not report to OTAs and doesn't plan to in the immediate future, a source told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler on Tuesday.
The three-time Pro Bowl selection is seeking a long-term contract and does not want to risk injury, the source said, and the sides have not made enough progress on a deal.
Wirfs, drafted 13th overall by the Buccaneers in 2020, is set to play this season on the fifth-year option in his rookie contract, worth $18.244 million fully guaranteed.
The Buccaneers have spent big this offseason to retain their key free agents.
