The Buccaneers started quickly, marching 75 yards down the field for their first touchdown on an opening drive this season. It came on third-and-6, as tight end Cameron Brate made a spectacular one-handed catch on a 28-yard bomb from quarterback Jameis Winston. It was the first game action Winston had seen in nearly a month, having been sidelined with an AC joint injury the past three weeks.
The Bucs’ defense was able to hold Green Bay to just a field goal on their ensuing drive. However, it would be the Packers who would score next on a 1-yard run from running back Jamaal Williams in the second quarter.
