MIAMI GARDENS — Danny Lansanah was on the bubble. Going into the Buccaneers’ final preseason game a year ago, the linebacker knew he had to make some plays to have any hope of making the team.
What Lansanah, then 29, wound up making was a template for forcing yourself onto the roster of a team that once deemed you expendable.
During an otherwise forgettable 24-10 loss to the Redskins, Lansanah had a game the Bucs couldn’t forget, producing five tackles, including two for a loss, and tipping a pass near the goal line that turned into a Bucs takeaway.
