This game got out of hand fast. The Bucs were leading 6-3 midway through the first quarter, but a defensive collapse followed by a Doug Martin fumble and yet more terrible defensive play saw the Bucs trail 17-6 with 11:11 left in the second quarter. A solid drive then went unrewarded after two Mike Evans drops were capped off with Connor Barth's first missed field goal of the year.
That could have turned this game into a blowout, but the Bucs defense actually got a fourth-down stop on their own 39-yard line with just over three minutes remaining, giving Jameis Winston a chance to drive the Bucs down the field for another score.
