On Thursday, ESPN’s Mel Kiper released his second mock draft of the offseason. Kiper hadn’t published a mock draft for about a month – having issued his first mock draft shortly after the conclusion of the regular season.

In his first mock draft, Kiper had the Buccaneers selecting Florida cornerback Vernon Hargreaves. With a month to think about it and the draft order being finalized, Kiper’s decision remained the same.
“The best pure cover corner in the draft would benefit anyone,” Kiper wrote, “and the Bucs are in a division where they have to face Drew Brees, Matt Ryan and Cam Newton six times a season.
