Have you ever thought to yourself, “What would it look like if Marcus Mariota were made out of sandwich materials?” If so, wow, that’s really weird. But also, wonder no more because Subway has made it happen.
Before making the grand unveiling, let’s temper your expectations first. Back in 2012, Subway made a bust of Robert Griffin III, prior to the 2012 NFL Draft, and it was, well, interesting.
On Tuesday, ESPN’s Darren Rovell revealed that the self-proclaimed “Official Training Restaurant of Athletes Everywhere” signed Mariota. In addition to announcing the signing of the former Oregon Ducks quarterback, Subway created a release which said Mariota loves the Cold Cut Combo with American cheese, tomatoes, Ranch and Sweet Onion sauce.
