TAMPA, Fla. -- It was a play that head coach Dirk Koetter said changed the course of the season for the 2016 Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Safety Chris Conte slid in front of Chicago Bears tight end Zach Miller, picking off quarterback Jay Cutler and returning it 20 yards for a touchdown.
Conte was so excited that he head-butted Koetter with his helmet, knocking his hat off, nearly crushing his glasses and giving him a small gash above his eye. The Bucs won that day and managed to string along four more consecutive wins to finish 9-7, their first winning record since 2010.
